Units

There are nine self contained units. The units are one and two bedroomed. All units have their own fully equipped kitchens, living areas and ensuite bathroom.
Kitchens include: gas stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, living area, TV, dining suite, sofa, electric heating and ducted evaporative air-conditioning.
Bedrooms: double bed, donnas, electric blanket (doubles only) spare blanket, pillows and bed spread. Clock radio, bed lights, wardrobes and bedside cabinet.

Two of the 2 bedroom units will accommodate 6 persons and the other 7 units will accommodate 4 persons. Linen is not supplied at this base rate and incurs an extra charge of $ 5.50 per person per visit . 

Backpacking

The Torrens Rooms or single units are located in one building with a fully equipped kitchenette and share ablutions. The rooms are furnished with 2 single beds in each room, donna, blankets and pillow, a desk, chair and wardrobe, bed light, heater and reverse cycle air conditioning.

Bush camping

You may camp near the creek at the entrance to Merna Mora in a designated area. Permits are available from the homestead or at the site. This area is still being developed. Showers are available at the station for $6/person.

Hosts
Hosts Donald, Kaye, Philip and Sonya live on site and are always available to answer any queries and help with any information which will help you enjoy your stay with us. Merna Mora is a 68 square mile sheep station which runs approx. 3000 sheep. The property has been in the Fels family for 112 years, being first established in 1889. All units and rooms associated with Merna Mora Holidays have been purpose built for visitors and we endeavor to make your stay as pleasant and as comfortable as possible.

Amenities

All amenities are included in the base price which includes use of the laundry facilities and BBQ's and campfires. The units are equipped with full refrigerator, microwave, all cooking and eating utensils, full gas stove, TV, clock radio and sofa. They have their own ensuite bathrooms and bedding includes donnas, electric blankets, blankets, pillows and bedspreads. We are connected to the electricity grid. All units are RCD protected. Heating is via strip heater and cooling by ducted evaporative air conditioning.

BBQ: Other amenities include lawned BBQ area with both wood and gas BBQ's and campfire area. 

Phone: A telephone is installed for client use. This is connected for incoming calls, 1800 numbers, reverse charge, homelink and telecard calls. Phone Away cards are available from the manager.

Laundry: Communal laundry located between the two blocks of flats for your use. A clothes line is situated across the tennis court or behind the flats.

Large kitchen: A group kitchen / dining room is available for larger groups.

Water: Rainwater taps are outside each door.

Campfires: Campfires may be lit in the area provided, under adult supervision and during seasons when restrictions do not apply.

Supplies: Petrol and food supplies are available at Hawker, Wilpena, Blinman, Beltana and Leigh Creek. Patrons must provide their own food requirements as we do not have a shop. The closest facilities for shopping are at Hawker.
