Climate
The climate at Merna
Mora varies from hot and mostly dry summers to warm sunny days and cool
crisp nights in winter. Rainfall is intermittent and general rains usually
fall in the May to August period with some thunderstorms experienced in
summer. The average annual rainfall is about 7 inches or 175mm.

just 15km from Merna Mora forms part of the Heysen Trail and links the

wall of Wilpena pound, Black's Gap, Red range, Elder Range: a photographer's
paradise.
