Donald, Kaye, Sonya and Philip Fels live on site. We are available to answer any queries you may have to ensure your stay is comfortable, pleasant and memorable.

Having spent a lifetime here we have a wealth of knowledge in the cultural, physical, historical, pastoral and environmental aspects of the area and like to share, inform and assist clients who may have these interests. The property has been owned by the Fels’ family since 1889.
All units and rooms have been purpose built for tourism and we endeavour to make sure you enjoy your time in the Flinders Ranges at Merna Mora. Although we do house our shearers for one week of the year in our accommodation, they are not shearer’s quarters.

All amenities are included in the base price which includes use of BBQ’s and campfires. The units are equipped with full refrigerator, microwave, all cooking and eating utensils, full gas stove, TV, clock radio and sofa. They have their own ensuite bathrooms and bedding includes doonas, electric blankets, blankets, pillows and bedspreads. We are connected to the electricity grid. All units are RCD protected. All units are fitted with split systems heating & cooling

BBQ: Other amenities include lawned BBQ area with both wood and gas BBQ’s and campfire area.

Phone: Telstra mobile coverage will work in some areas around the homestead.

Laundry: Communal laundry located between the two blocks of flats for your use. A clothes line is situated across the tennis court or behind the units.

Group facility: A fully equipped kitchen/dinning/conference room is available for larger groups for hire.

Campfires: Campfires may be lit in the area provided, under adult supervision and during seasons when restrictions do not apply.

Water: Rainwater taps are outside each door.

Supplies: Petrol and food supplies are available at Hawker, Wilpena, Blinman and Leigh Creek. Patrons must provide their own food and refreshments as we do not have a shop. The closest facilities for shopping are at Hawker.
